Meet the designer!
I’ve always admired the thought and intention behind design since a young age. Design surrounds us everywhere we go, from the smallest product packaging to the largest billboards.
When I begin my design process, I draw on personal experiences and the places I’ve encountered, bringing meaning and emotion into my work. Living near Philadelphia, I’m surrounded by culturally rich and diverse designs that inspire me. Designing in an environment surrounded by my interests and things I love plays a crucial role in my process, motivating me to work hard and stay creative. In my portfolio, several pieces stand out as milestones in my design journey. One of my favorites is the Gestalt Sketchbook, where we were tasked with creatively designing a sketchbook based on Gestalt principles. For the front cover, I chose a cherry blossom tree to reflect the spring season when I began the project. The back cover features the text, “All seasons must come to an end” with falling cherry blossoms. I wanted the design to feel bittersweet, symbolizing change. By the time I completed the sketchbook, the cherry blossoms around me had naturally fallen, making the design even more personally meaningful.
Overall, my work highlights my problem-solving abilities, creative thinking, and attention to detail. I am eager to expand my skills through new opportunities and continue growing as a designer.
